Dr Martina Gogova
Dr. Martina Gogova holds degrees in Business, Mathematics, and Informatics, as well as a Ph.D. in Economics. After several years of post-doctoral research, she transitioned from academia into senior consulting roles, leading compliance projects at major financial institutions in Germany. Since joining UBS’s Financial Crime Prevention department in 2018, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s financial crime prevention framework, contributing to key initiatives such as fraud detection, transaction monitoring, single client view, and client risk rating. In 2023, she assumed leadership of the Global Transaction Monitoring Governance, Strategy, and Controls program. Since March 2025, she has focused strongly on innovation, leading the Global Transaction Monitoring Strategy – particularly in the integration of advanced technologies, AI model development, and calibration. Dr. Gogova brings deep expertise in non-financial risk management and financial regulation, supported by strong analytical skills and a proven record in the banking industry, particularly in leading initiatives on framework remediation, optimization, and innovation.
