Matt has worked for Santander for 10 years and is responsible for teams leading internal policy, complex advisory work and management of engagement with Government, Regulators and industry bodies, across economic crime. Matt also chairs the UK Finance Anti Corruption Steering Group and represents the bank in a range of public-private sector committees.

Prior to joining Santander, Matt was Director Financial Crime at the British Bankers Association. Before that he spent a decade in the Civil Service. These roles provided Matt experience of policy and strategy development in the UK and with international bodies on financial crime and criminal justice matters, as well as exposure to Ministers, Parliamentary/Legislative processes and media activities.
