Matthias Rode is Partner in Deloitte's German Financial Services practice and the global Deloitte Financial Crime (FinCrime) network. He co-leads the Deloitte Europe AMLA efforts assisting  clients in interpreting and preparing for the massive impact AMLA will have on the industry. He has more than 25 years of professional experience advising clients on topics around Financial (Economic) Crime and Non-Financial Risk Management (NFR-M). So far he covered much complex work in management of financial crime prevention and also remediation projects with focus on regulatory compliance and cost management/ efficiency. The projects included adaptation/development of sound governance, structures, controls and processes with all the necessary consideration/ inclusion of IT data, analytics and platforms.
