Michael Harris (Mike) is an independent financial crime and compliance specialist with over two decades of experience working with firms across the UK and internationally on matters of financial crime risk and compliance. He works closely with regulated organisations, fintechs, professional services firms, and compliance teams on anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), sanctions, Anti-bribery and Corruption and ESG risk and governance challenges.

Having spent much of his career in senior management and consulting roles, Michael now leads FCC Consulting Ltd, where he provides practical, risk-based guidance to help firms strengthen their compliance frameworks, respond to regulatory change, and embed effective controls that work in the real world. He is particularly known for translating complex regulatory expectations into clear, actionable steps for boards and compliance officers.

Michael is also the founder of AMLComplianceCourses.com, a specialist platform providing accredited, CPD-certified training in AML, ABC, financial crime, and ESG compliance, tailored for regulated sectors and compliance professionals.
