Tanguy Gabathuler is the Global Head of Customer Monitoring within Financial Crime Detection at HSBC. In this role, he is the control owner and accountable for strengthening the bank’s customer monitoring capability, helping ensure financial crime risks are identified, assessed and mitigated effectively across a complex global footprint.

With over 10 years’ experience leading various Financial Crime detection controls and overall 20 years in the Financial sector, Tanguy brings deep expertise in designing, deploying and optimising transaction monitoring models (rule-based, machine learning, etc.) and controls across lines of business and countries.
