Transform Finance is committed to creating a professional, inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable participating, exchanging ideas and building relationships.
This Code of Conduct applies to all delegates, speakers, partners, sponsors, exhibitors, guests, staff and other participants attending Transform Finance events, whether in person or online. It also applies to event-related networking, meetings and social activities.
We expect everyone participating in our events to treat others with professionalism, courtesy and respect.
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation or other inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
What Do We Mean by Harassment or Inappropriate Behaviour?
Examples include, but are not limited to:

Offensive or discriminatory comments relating to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, nationality, religion or belief, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, parental or carer status, or other protected or personal characteristics

Deliberate misgendering

Unwelcome sexual attention, language or imagery

Deliberate intimidation, stalking or following

Inappropriate physical contact or physical contact without consent

Harassing photography or recording
-
Sustained or deliberate disruption of presentations, discussions or other event activities

Continued one-to-one communication after someone has asked for it to stop

Repeated unsolicited sales or promotional communications after someone has asked for them to stop

Threatening, abusive or aggressive behaviour
-
Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behaviour
Anyone asked to stop inappropriate behaviour is expected to do so immediately.
Professional Conduct
Transform Finance events are designed to encourage open discussion, professional networking and the exchange of ideas.
Participants should respect the views, personal boundaries and privacy of others and conduct themselves professionally throughout the Event.
Where a session operates under the Chatham House Rule or another confidentiality arrangement, participants are expected to respect those requirements.
Partners and sponsors are expected to approach networking and follow-up professionally and respectfully. Where an individual asks not to receive further direct communications, that request should be respected in accordance with applicable requirements.
Photography and Recording
Photography, filming and recording may take place at Transform Finance events in accordance with our Delegate Terms & Conditions.
Participants must not photograph or record another attendee in a manner that is intrusive, harassing or contrary to instructions given for a particular session.
Private discussions, including certain Leaders Circle sessions, Executive Discussion Tables and other closed-door sessions, must not be recorded unless expressly authorised by Transform Finance.
If the Code Is Breached
If a participant engages in behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, Transform Finance may take whatever action it reasonably considers appropriate.
This may include:

Asking the participant to stop the behaviour

Issuing a warning
-
Removing the participant from a session or activity
-
Removing the participant from the Event
-
Restricting or refusing participation in future Transform Finance events
Where a participant is removed from an Event for breaching this Code, Transform Finance reserves the right not to provide a refund for any ticket or participation fee paid.
Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness harassment, inappropriate behaviour or another breach of this Code, please report it to a member of the Transform Finance team as soon as possible.
Transform Finance staff can be found throughout our events and at the registration desk.

We will handle reports as sensitively and discreetly as reasonably possible. You will not be expected to confront the person you are reporting.
Where appropriate, our team can assist with contacting venue security, local law enforcement or other relevant support services, or take other reasonable steps to help you feel safe at the Event.
Updates to This Code
We may update this Code of Conduct from time to time to reflect changes to our events, community or operating practices.
The latest version will be published on the Transform Finance website.
